i love you, and love is priceless
i hope this week has been relaxing for you, surrounded by family, friends, and those closest to your heart.
in this moment of gratitude, my heart feels full as i reflect on the opportunity this substack gives me: the chance not only to share my perspective as an audacious and ambitious woman but also to articulate the matters of my heart into actionable advice that cuts through the noise and uplifts young women like myself.
my closest friends will tell you that i refuse to pay for newspaper subscriptions or articles because i believe ideas should be accessible to everyone. if education is to remain the ultimate equalizer, then information must be free to access. what we do with that content makes the difference, and often, that difference comes at a cost.
so, moving forward, i’m removing the paywall from my archive. my goal with diary of a diouana woman is to create a source of self regard for ambitious and audacious women. this is a space for women who not only recognize the rigged societal systems they navigate but are also determined to have their way, even if it means walking through fire. these women understand that the only way out is through.
my weekly essays will continue to offer sharp observations on society and musings on the interpersonal and sociopolitical dynamics that shape our daily lives, presented through a distinctly black, female lens. i promise you keen analysis, empowering prose, and practical strategies to apply in your own life.
for those ready to go deeper, my diouana woman salons are here for you. they’re a space to turn insight into action, tailored to your unique circumstances. together, we’ll craft strategies that align with your ambitions, your positioning, and your goals. these salons are about depth, strategy, and honoring the truth that our birthright includes rest, beauty, love, and luxury.
as we close out this month of gratitude, i want to thank you for subscribing to diary of a diouana woman.
as we enter the last month of the year, my challenge for you is to advocate for yourself with intention and clarity. and as we approach the new year, my advice for you is to explore how you can exist in an economy of love as opposed to an economy of favors in the new year.
if you’re ready to embody these ideas and create a life for yourself where your worth isn’t defined by your usefulness to others, i invite you to join us in the diouana woman salon. together, we’ll transform the insights from my essays into tailored action plans, all while honoring the diouana woman ethos: freedom-seeking, glamour-loving, intellectual sensuality.
sweet dreams,
a diouana woman
